Cookie Policy

This policy explains how Vareqa uses cookies and similar technologies on this website, what each one does, and how you can control them. We load non-essential (analytics) cookies only after you give your consent.

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device. Similar technologies such as localStorage let a site remember information in your browser. They can be set by the site you are visiting ("first-party") or by another organisation whose services the site uses ("third-party").

Cookies and storage we use

The table below lists every cookie and storage item this website can set, grouped by purpose.

Strictly necessary and functional storage

Your cookie choice (vareqa-cookie-consent) and your language preference (vareqa-lang) are stored in your browser using localStorage. They are required for the site to remember your decisions, do not track you, and are never sent to a third party, so they are set without consent.

Analytics cookies and your consent

We use Google Analytics, loaded through Google Tag Manager, to understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it. Because these are non-essential cookies, we do not load Google Tag Manager or set any analytics cookie until you choose Accept all on the cookie banner. If you choose Reject all, Google Tag Manager is not loaded at all and no analytics cookies are set.

Our legal basis for analytics cookies is your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR together with the ePrivacy cookie rules). The legal basis for strictly necessary and functional storage is our legitimate interest in providing a working website.

Managing or withdrawing your consent

You can change or withdraw your choice at any time — it is as easy to withdraw consent as it was to give it:

  • Use the Manage cookie preferences button below (or at the top of this page) to reopen the cookie banner and change your choice.
  • You can also delete or block cookies through your browser settings. Doing so may affect how some websites work.

Third-party processing

When analytics are enabled, Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics are provided by Google Ireland Limited, which may process data such as your IP address and device information. For more information, see Google's Privacy Policy and the page on how Google uses cookies.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Cookie Policy to reflect changes to the cookies we use or for legal reasons. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
